DESCRIPTION: The UC Irvine School of Medicine is located on the rolling coastal foothills of the Irvine campus. The College is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and practice of medicine through scholarly research, physician education and the provision of high-quality medical care to patients. The College actively nurtures the development of scholars in the clinical and basic sciences and the dissemination of their research advances for the benefit of society. The UCI Medical Center is the only university medical center serving Orange County and surrounding areas. As one of five University of California medical centers throughout the state, UCI Medical Center is recognized not only for specialized, quality patient care, but also for the expertise of its physicians and researchers.
