DESCRIPTION: Meals on Wheels operates 10 senior meal sites in three counties of East Texas, Anderson, Cherokee, and Rusk. We serve an average of 480 meals per day, five days per week. We also provide many activities through a senior center atmosphere. We have been in operation since January of 1977. We are a non-profit agency who recives funding from the Texas Department on Aging, Texas Department of Human Services, United Way, Client donations, fundraisers, county governments, and other private donations. | |
