DESCRIPTION: Postdoc and Ph.D. student positions in Streptomyces molecular genetics or biochemistry A newly established laboratory at a major US university has space to accommodate 2 postdoctoral research associates and 2 Ph.D. students to start immediately. The project is focused on the molecular genetics, biochemistry and engineered biosynthesis of pharmaceutically relevant natural products in Streptomyces. For visiting scholars / postdoc positions, recent Ph.D. recipients with fellowship are particularly welcome. Applicants should have a strong background in molecular genetics or biochemistry; experience with Streptomyces is a plus. For Ph.D. student positions, applicants with an interest in bioinformatics are also welcome to apply.
