DESCRIPTION: Break the Cycle¿s mission is to end domestic violence by working proactively with youth. We provide prevention and education services through ¿Ending Violence: A Curriculum for Educating Teens about Domestic Violence and the Law,¿ presented to 9th grade high school students throughout Los Angeles County. Additional education and outreach services are provided to young people in middle and high schools, juvenile detention facilities and community youth groups, and to college students, parents, social service providers and concerned community members. Our legal services program provides early intervention services, including legal advice, counsel and representation, to young people, ages 12 to 22, assisting them to escape abusive relationships or homes. All of Break the Cycle¿s services are provided free of charge. | |
