DESCRIPTION: KAPPA II, M.S. 317 is a model middle school located in East Harlem. Its mission is to provide an accelrated academic program to the youth of Harlem. We cater from grades 5 through 8. Our students are pre-screened and interviewed before they are accepted to our school. Even though we are a public school, we ensure that we provide "private school" instruction to our students. We feel that parental support is absolutely essential, which is why we interview parents as well before students are accepted to our school. With small classes, special programs and a staff that feels committed to the academic and social growth of students, KAPPA 2 is an exceptional school. | |
