DESCRIPTION: Canada China Education Council (CCEC) is a non-profit organization incorporated in February 2000, in Ontario, Canada, whose membership includes educational institutions and individuals in Canada and China. CCEC is one of the Canadian organizations officially mandated by the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs of China to recruit English teachers for Chinese schools. The objectives of CCEC are: 1) recruitment of teachers; 2) educational conferences, seminars or exhibitions; 3) publication of books, journals, reports or articles on education and culture; 4) establishment of sister schools between the two countries; 5) mutual visits of educators, teachers, students, scholars, researchers and educational officials; 6) joint endeavours for the development of curriculum in TESL or teaching Chinese language; 7) joint studies and research into educational theories and practices. | |
