DESCRIPTION: Catholic Charities, the social service agency of the Archdiocese of Boston, is dedicated to improving the lives of the needy in Eastern Massachusetts. Founded in 1903 as a child welfare agency, Catholic Charities has consistently expanded its services to meet the needs of impoverished children, teens, working families and senior citizens. Catholic Charities consists of 8 community service centers and four program divisions offering a total of 145 social service programs at 43 service sites throughout the Archdiocese of Boston. Catholic Charities is the largest private provider of social service care in the Commonwealth; one that is committed to serving those most in need regardless of sex, age, sexual orientation, race, color or religious creed, national origin, ancestry or disability.
