DESCRIPTION: The TAG Center is billed as ¿A Place For Everyone.¿ It offers facilities for the very young to the ageless. The Ted and Grace (TAG) Bachhuber Aquatic and Fitness Center is a 46,000 square foot facility given to the community as a gift from the Bachhuber Foundation. It is located on a 40-acre site on the west side of Mayville at 1700 Breckenridge. It opened in August of 2002, and to date has just over 900 family and single memberships sold. The indoor aquatic center has a water park atmosphere with a 228 foot long tube slide, interactive play areas, three lap lanes, and a current channel for the lazy river. A state of the art ozone water treatment system uses less chlorine, thereby improving water and air quality levels in the building. The Aquatics Center is run by the Beaver Dam YMCA. YMCA swim lessons are offered at various times throughout the week, and run continuously throughout the year. In addition to swim lessons, adults can get in shape with many water fitness class | |
