DESCRIPTION: Crossroads Family Shelter is a transitional shelter for homeless families that was established in 1985 by the Most Holy Redeemer Parish. Crossroads was established to meet the needs of less fortunate people in our community. Since opening its doors, Crossroads has been home to more than 400 families with over 1000 children. The shelter houses 11 families with 25-30 children at any given time. Crossroads is located in the Maverick Square area of East Boston. Crossroads prides itself on being a full service program operating 24 hours a day. We offer people more than a supportive environment and the opportunity to put their lives back together. Ultimately, our goal is to help the families who come to Crossroads live independantly and with the dignity and respect that all human beings deserve. | |
