DESCRIPTION: The Castilian House is an academic institution, dedicated to the teaching of languages. It was founded in April 1997, but had been operating as an adult learning centre before then, granting high-school diplomas to adults. The school is based in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Initially, only Spanish and English as a second language programs were offered, but since then, more programs have been added courses in French and Italian). The aim of the school is to enable students to become fully operational in the language of their choice. We are currently in the process of setting up a course in Women¿s Development and a course in Sustainable Development. These courses will be aimed at University students who are interested in learning more about internation development, with a focus on Costa Rica & Latin America. | |
