DESCRIPTION: Bisazza was established in 1956 near Vicenza, in the Veneto region of Italy. Its founder, Renato Bisazza, had a vision: to build on the cultural richness of a time-honored Venetian craft to offer innovative solutions in the realm of wall and floor decoration. Out came glass mosaic, a product of extraordinary versatility, with a venerable past, yet with a contemporary enough look to fit in with the most current trends in modern design. Like in a textbook case of entrepreneurial achievement, one man's idea eventually grew into a smashing commercial success. Late twentieth century technology certainly helped a great deal, but it was the founder's pioneering spirit and his staff of dedicated and imaginative people that truly made it possible for the company to earn a reputation for excellence in both product quality and service. Market leadership is, indeed, what Bisazza became known for in the 1970s and has maintained ever since in the production and commercialization of glass mosaics. | |
